Introductory Artemis Overview
ARTEMIS is the name of NASA’s mission to return to the Moon. . . this time to stay!
Our nation will establish a permanent robotic presence and explore more of the Moon’s surface than we ever thought imaginable. To give you a sense of what our immersion institute is all about, watch this 4-minute video as a Lockheed Martin executive talks about his days as a high school student in Oklahoma, leveraging his Math skills to major in finance, and to now be part of the Lockheed Martin executive team managing the production of Artemis lll...the spacecraft that will carry crew members on our return mission to the moon, including the first female astronaut to walk on the moon. The video demonstrates how each STEM/STEAM skill set can lead to a wide range of exciting careers in all industries.
NOTE: Real World Explorations is an Oceans to Orbits STEM initiative.
